No Original Ideas! Everything is extrapolated from something else!
My mind is blown! After watching and praising The Dark Knight Rises (2012) for the masterpiece that it is. Then watching Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993) randomly. The scene of the first epic battle scene in batman is a total copy / extrapolation of the Bruce Lee Story.
As you will compare slides from both films, they are in exact replica of each other. In the Bruce Lee Story and The Dark Knight Rises:
- The first fight is in a dungeon with no one around to see the epic fight, only a view spectators.
- Once the fight starts, there is no music, only sounds of the characters and the sounds of the brawl.
- At the end of the fight, the enemy breaks the hero’s back.
- Colour theme of black vs. white.
Also, later on in both films, the hero triumphs with coming back from a broken back and winning the final face off!
I was so shocked at this. Wondering if Christopher Nolan saw this film before filming The Dark Knight Rises.
Whatever the answer may be, it doesn’t change that these are both amazingly epic films!!
